"As Tales stories go, it's also one of the best in terms of plot and pacing. Their backstories aren't just bits and pieces that are dredged up when it becomes important the player gets to witness them firsthand, and this makes all the difference." The rest of the game takes place when he's an adult, and because of the impressive amount of development the characters go through during the prologue, every single one of them is far more interesting in their adult lives. The game's prologue, which is actually surprisingly lengthy and even includes its own boss fights, takes place when protagonist Asbel is eleven years old.

"The story is unique among the Tales series in that it's the only game that takes place during two times of the characters' lives. of this caliber in physical, functional form.JRPG review from RPGamer, i usually trust them as true fans of the genre.īest insightfull review, it got me more excited for the game. The image I’ve seen is of Asbel holding a small version of Ephinea (surrounded by Foselos, of course). While I unfortunately can’t give any concrete details on the wall calendar, I'm assuming it includes the same interior artwork and features a different cover only.

staff members, who developed two versions of the calendar - the desk version as shown and also a wall calendar. The artwork for the calendar was created by Production I.G.
